25-Year-Old Techie Ends Up In Hospital ‘After Pulling All-Nighters’, Blames Hustle Culture

Kritarth Mittal, the 25-year-old founder of the Soshals app, recently revealed a personal health scare that has served as a stark warning against the dangers of “hustle culture.” Mittal, a Mumbai-based entrepreneur, was hospitalised after suffering from severe headaches and recurrent vomiting, which he attributes to his poor lifestyle choices.

The Cost of All-Nighters and Poor Sleep

Mittal shared that his relentless work schedule, which often involved pulling all-nighters and getting less than five hours of sleep a night, coupled with an unhealthy diet, eventually took a toll on his health. The techie, who graduated from SRM Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, admitted that his erratic routine, a habit since his college days, finally caught up with him.

A Wake-Up Call for the Tech Community

In a candid post on the social media platform X, Mittal shared his experience with his followers, cautioning them against the pressures of hustle culture. “Hustle culture comes with a cost — some you incur right away and some over decades,” he wrote, urging others not to be easily swayed by the glorification of overworking.

Mittal also acknowledged that as he gets older, his body is no longer able to handle the same stress it once did. “Now my body has started to remind me that I am not 20 anymore,” he confessed. He further vowed to set up a healthier routine to better care for himself moving forward.

A Growing Concern in the Tech Industry

Mittal’s revelation comes at a time when many tech professionals are speaking out about the negative impacts of burnout, unhealthy diets, and the inability to maintain a balanced lifestyle due to work pressures. His story serves as a reminder to prioritize health over the relentless pursuit of success, particularly in high-stress environments like the tech industry.
