Record-Breaking Condom Sales: Over One Lakh Packs Sold

On New Year’s Eve, Blinkit’s CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, shared intriguing insights into the purchases made by customers. By 10 PM, the app had sold over 1.22 lakh packs of condoms, marking a record for the platform. This revelation quickly went viral on social media, with over 800,000 users viewing the post. The trend sparked curiosity, and Dhindsa even revealed that the most popular flavour was chocolate, followed closely by strawberry.

Snacks, Ice Cubes, and Party Essentials

In addition to the condom sales, Blinkit recorded impressive numbers for more traditional party items. A staggering 2,34,512 packets of Aloo Bhujia, 45,531 cans of tonic water, and 6,834 packets of ice cubes were sold before the clock struck midnight. The app also reported sales of 1,003 lipsticks and 762 lighters, reflecting the varied needs of those celebrating the occasion.’
