Karoline Leavitt Becomes Trump’s New, 27-Year-Old White House Press Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump has appointed 27-year-old Karoline Leavitt as White House press secretary, making her the youngest person to hold the role. Leavitt, who served as national press secretary during Trump’s 2020 campaign, previously worked as assistant press secretary in his first term and ran for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022. She also served as communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik. Leavitt, from a middle-class New Hampshire family, began her political career while at Saint Anselm College.
