The tableau of Rajasthan showcased during the full dress rehearsal of the Republic Day parade on Rajpath in New Delhi, left the audience captivated with the theme ‘Welcome to our developed India.’ Ten traditional Ghoomar dancers added to the spectacle, performing the renowned dance form around the tableau. Set to be a unique attraction in the upcoming Republic Day parade on January 26, 2024, the Rajasthan tableau beautifully blends the state’s culture, architectural tradition, and craftsmanship.
Dr Rajneesh Harsh, the nodal officer for the tableau and Secretary of Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy highlighted that the captivating scene at the front of the tableau features a 10-foot-tall dancer performing the iconic Ghoomar dance. Dressed in vibrant Rajasthani attire adorned with colourful accessories, the dancer conveys the message of ‘Welcome to our developed India,’ showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
In a separate meeting, discussions were held regarding the simplification of the fire NOC (No Objection Certificate) process. The renovation of the fire NOC will now be expedited and completed within 15 days. The meeting also approved proposals for the construction of a fire station and the development of various facilities. Additionally, a proposal to purchase 10 fire vehicles received approval during the meeting.
Fire Commissioner Sarita Choudhary announced that a committee, through Assistant Fire Officers (AFOs), will conduct surveys across all zones to encourage establishments, hospitals, etc., falling under the fire safety purview to obtain a fire NOC. Stringent action will be taken against those establishments that have obtained NOC but have inactive fire equipment.
