JAIPUR: The Veterinary Doctors Association and Rajasthan Animal Doctors Association continued their protest on Wednesday demanding non-practice allowance in all district headquarters. Veterinarians across the state have been on strike since September 18. However, due to the lack of positive action on their demands, animals are not receiving treatment. In the absence of treatment, several animals have suffered injuries. The joint secretary of the association, Dr. Lokesh Sharma, mentioned that non-practice allowances are being provided in 17 states of the country according to the recommendations of the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Pay Commissions. Veterinarians in the state have been trying for this for two years.
