The theatrical trailer of Varun Tej’s most-awaited patriotic aerial action-drama Operation Valentine was released yesterday to a remarkable response from all corners. The video that gave clarity about the film’s content is winning a lot of appreciation and is trending top on YouTube with 7M+ views.
Varun Tej portrays the role of an IAF officer quite capably. The trailer offered a visual spectacle with first-of-its-kind narrative intense action blocks, and stirring emotions. The visuals were on par with Hollywood movies, although the movie was mounted on a decent budget. Varun Tej said, “The movie has been made on a budget of Rs 40 crore but we have gone all out to ensure that we have given the audience the best even in terms of VFX and so on. The movie is not just action but also is filled with emotions, love and more.”
While Varun is making his Hindi debut, Manushi Chhillar is making her Telugu debut. When asked about why Manushi Chillar was cast in the film, he replied, “We felt she would fit the bill rightly for a radar officer role, and that’s the primary reason we selected her.
I need not talk about her beauty. The whole world knows it, and hence, she became a Miss World. We are very happy that Manushi Chhillar is part of our film. She did complete justice to her role. Please observe her acting skills too, apart from her beauty.” As for Operation Valentine’s comparisons with Fighter, director Shakti Pratap Singh said, “Ours is a movie about the Indian Air Force.
I haven’t seen Fighter. I am sure we are bringing a unique perspective to the audience. Whatever we are showing in our film happens very commonly in the Air Force. But not many people know about it. Operation Valentine is not just about action. It explores the camaraderie and relationship among Air Force pilots.”
The trailer has set the bar high for the movie directed by debutant Shakti Pratap Singh Hada. The film is produced by Sony Pictures and Sandeep Mudda, with co-production by God Bless Entertainment and Nandkumar Abbineni.
The Telugu-Hindi bilingual will grace the cinemas on March 1st.
