The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 by establishing a deluxe 300-bed dormitory in Prayagraj. This will provide accommodation for pilgrims and tourists, officials announced on Thursday.
The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) will enhance its current tent-based accommodation. They will build a 300-bed deluxe dormitory within the Maha Kumbh Mela area. This large-scale project aims to provide premium lodging options for visitors.
The dormitory will feature 50 tents in three categories:
These tents will cater to a wide range of visitors, ensuring comfort and convenience for everyone.
In addition to the dormitory, the government is constructing tent cities in the Maha Kumbh Mela area. These cities are designed to meet the needs of international tourists, VIPs, and general pilgrims. The deluxe tents will range from 250 to 400 square feet and will be built to the same high standards as the villas and super deluxe tents already established by UPSTDC in Arail.
