An initiative to showcase contemporary artworks, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and prints, as well as a postcard painting exhibition, was recently organized at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. This marked the third successful curation of an art exhibition by the Utsav group.
Our objective is to cherish the era where we used to wait for the letters or a postman was only medium of communication and undoubtedly we have achieved that,” said Ritu Saxena who initiated this venture.
This one of its own kind of event was attended by a large art fraternity.
Artists who participated in this group exhibition are Mahesh Kumar, Sourav Singh, Pradeep Halder, Jaishree Mishra, Renuka Anand, Raj Balram, Purnendu Bikas Mondal, Yashraj Ganguly, Richa Agarwal, Dipali Grover, Sunita Rathi, Rekha Parihar, Jaspal Singh, Ashish Arora, Apshit, Prachi kawadia, Harsh Loomba, Monika Singh etc.
Art in itself is a celebration which brings immense pleasure and joy, releases stress, helps in healing, and is itself a meditation and thus brings people together with a confluence of colourful moods and spreads happiness in the surrounding atmosphere.
‘Utsav -3’ artists gathered from Karnataka to Kerala and Kolkata, Maharashtra to Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, thus representing a rainbow of colours. This showcase was an opportunity for all art enthusiasts to come together and appreciate the richness and diversity of various forms of art.
Ritu Saxena curator of the show further said, “Utsav-3 promises to make every event a unique and exciting affair. We strive to ensure that each event is a special occasion, with a great variety of art forms on display.
Our exhibition is a celebration of creativity and joy. We are proud to be able to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work, and for visitors to enjoy the unique beauty of each art form.”
Nowadays, in this era of the Internet, the charm and emotion that came with the postcard has faded. ‘Utsav-3’ was a great attempt to recreate that old legacy.
Hand-painted postcards give a personal touch to the message being sent. These hand painted postcards are truly a great way to make sure that these old-time memories never fade away.
