First US Presidential Debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is scheduled for June 27. The highly anticipated debate will begin at 9 pm (EST) and will be broadcast by CNN.  In preparation, President Biden is expected to enlist his personal lawyer, Bob Bauer, for assistance.

Bauer, 72, previously portrayed former President Trump during Biden’s preparations for the 2020 election cycle. He detailed his role in his memoir, describing his efforts to be as “personally insulting and unhinged as Trump can be.” Bauer is expected to reprise this role again.

When asked about the upcoming debate, Bauer stated, “I can’t discuss anything related to the debate.” As of now, Joe Biden has not commented on the reports.

Meanwhile, the two moderators of the upcoming debate have garnered traction online. Jake Tapper currently serves as CNN’s lead anchor for Washington, D.C., events. He is the host of “The Lead with Jake Tapper” and the Sunday show “State of the Union.” Tapper is no stranger to moderating presidential debates, having handled a GOP debate in 2015 and the final Democratic debate of 2020 between Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders. Before joining CNN, Tapper was a senior White House correspondent for ABC News. An alumnus of Dartmouth College, he is also an accomplished author.

The other one is Dana Bash, who is CNN’s chief political correspondent. She anchors “Inside Politics with Dana Bash” and co-anchors “State of the Union.” She has moderated numerous political town halls and debates, including two presidential primary debates in 2020 and six in 2016. A graduate of The George Washington University, Bash is a veteran political journalist known for her special CNN series “Being…” and “Badass Women of Washington.” She has a forthcoming book titled “America’s Deadliest Election.”
