UP CM Yogi Provides Financial Assistance To Families Of Kuwait Fire Victims & Reasi Terror Attack

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath provided financial assistance to the families of two workers from Gorakhpur who lost their lives in a fire accident in Kuwait and to the devotees injured in the recent terrorist attack on a pilgrims’ bus in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir.

Recently, 45 Indians perished in a fire in a multi-storey building in Kuwait. Among them were Angad Gupta, from Jatepur North in Sadar tehsil, Gorakhpur, and Jairam Gupta, from Bhammaur in Campierganj tehsil.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath contacted the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Kuwait to ensure the dignified return of their bodies to their families. On Saturday, the bodies of both deceased workers arrived home, and their last rites were conducted with full honors.

On Sunday morning, the Chief Minister met with the families of the deceased at Gorakhnath temple, offering his condolences and heartfelt support. He presented cheques of Rs 5 lakh each to Angad Gupta’s wife, Rita Devi, and Jairam Gupta’s wife, Sunita, stating, “He stands with them in this hour of grief.”

Additionally, CM Yogi provided cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to Rajesh from Purdilpur, Gorakhpur, and Gayatri and Soni from Riksonna, Bhairopur, who were injured in the recent terrorist attack in Shivkhodi, Jammu.

During the occasion, the Chief Minister inquired about the health of the injured, assuring them that the government would ensure no shortage in their treatment. Notably, as soon as the information about the terrorist attack in Shivkhodi was received, the Chief Minister deployed a team of officials to treat the injured and safely bring back the trapped devotees to their homes.
