Vivek Ramaswamy Reveals the Truth Behind His DOGE Exit; ‘Well, the Reality Is…’

Indian-American biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy has opened up about his sudden exit from the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the Trump administration. Initially, people thought Ramaswamy would head the new department alongside SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

In an interview with Fox News’s Jesse Watters, he explained his reasons for leaving and hinted at his future political plans.

Jesse Watters asked about his hasty exit from DOGE, comparing it to “three Scaramuccis,” Ramaswamy clarified, “Well, the reality is, I’m pursuing an elected office very shortly. We will have an announcement soon.” This was enough for many to speculate that Ramaswamy is only preparing for an Ohio governor election, something that has drawn much attention owing to his background and aspirations.

Mutual Agreement to Part Ways with Musk

To discredit rumors that the two were not on good terms, he denied it saying, “I think that’s incorrect, but what I would say is, we had different and complementary approaches.” According to him, he focused more on a “legislative-based approach,” while Musk leaned more on a “technology approach” to solve the issues of government efficiency. He added, “And I think he is the best person to lead that technology.

He answered the question of whether Musk had dismissed him by saying, “It’s – no, we had a mutual discussion,” clearly stating that the separation was on good terms.

Vivek Ramaswamy Suggests Running for Ohio Governor

Ramaswamy also dropped hints about a potential run for governor of Ohio. He mentioned traveling to the state and remarked, “I think places like Ohio should be where they’re headed in the next couple of decades.” His comments reflect his belief in Ohio’s growing political importance and the opportunities it holds for the future.
