One such US-based firm, Strategically Armoured & Fortified Environments (SAFE), recently released the Aerie project-a doomsday luxury bunker priced at $300 million, aiming at safeguarding ultra-wealthy individuals from potential global catastrophes. It will be launched in 2026 and promises the ultimate opulence combined with unmatchable security measures.

Named after birds of prey’s high resting places, Aerie offers White House-level security, AI-driven medical suites, and a network of luxury bunkers spanning 50 US cities, with plans for 1,000 affiliate locations globally. The first site, opening in Virginia next year, will cost $300 million to construct.

“We designed Aerie to protect vulnerable clients who want more than a safe house or yacht,” said SAFE founder Al Corbi. “Our residences will offer the ultimate in privacy and security, blending high-end luxury with life-saving protection.”

Unmatched Features for Survival

The bunkers are designed to be resistant to the extreme global threats that include nuclear fallout and electromagnetic pulses. Residence in any of these homes is SCIF-compliant, meaning it has top-level security and confidentiality.

The amenities include AI-driven medical suites, gourmet dining, wellness programs, and entertainment facilities such as a swimming pool, a bowling alley, a cold plunge center, and climbing walls. Residences range from 2,000 square feet of suites to underground penthouses over 20,000 square feet. The price ranges can go up to $20 million for a unit.

Membership Tiers and Exclusivity

SAFE offers several membership options, from moderately successful CEOs to the elite “Asylum Membership,” which is by invitation only. The Virginia location will accommodate up to 625 people, with advanced biometric security systems and hardened elevators to access their subterranean homes, some located 200 feet underground.

High-Tech Living Spaces

The complex will employ the latest available technology, incorporating interactive walls, lighting that presents panoramic cliff views, and also offers a rooftop penthouse as the last luxury retreat available. Under this facility are well-being centers and hyperbaric chambers as well as robotic therapies for medical concerns.

Aerie is going to redefine disaster preparedness with luxury and life-saving solutions to its exclusive clientele so that it brings them the unprecedented safety and comfort, said Naomi Corbi, director of medical preparedness of SAFE.
