‘Trumpy Trout’ Creator Michael Cassy Unveils New Political Gag Gift To ‘Make Fishing Great Again’

“Trumpy Trout,” the latest and most unusual political novelty, has been launched just days before the November 5 election. This artificial talking fish face humorously delivers remarks with a distinct Trump flair.

With its plastic fins moving back and forth, Trumpy Trout declares, “I’m building a new pond and the bass will pay for it.”

Priced at around $59.99, the gag gift boasts large fins and adds, “Some bass are bad fish, crazy fish, criminal fish, and druggy fish, but some bass are good fish and I only love some of them.” It claims to be the “biggest trout” in the pond, stating, “You can try to catch me but it’s hard, it’s really hard.”

Michael Casey, the mastermind behind Trumpy Trout, shared that he was inspired by Big Mouth Billy Bass, an animatronic fish that swayed and sang popular songs from the late 1990s and early 2000s, which Queen Elizabeth II famously displayed on a grand piano at Balmoral Castle.

At 62, Casey is an experienced inventor and businessman known for creating fitness products like the Ab Roller Plus. He recognized a market opportunity in the Trump-themed novelty fish industry.

“I know a group of people that were distributors for Billy Bass, and I thought it could be time to revive that, but this time do it with Trump,” Casey said. He ensured that the fish delivered phrases reminiscent of Trump’s speech, but framed in fish terminology.

The slogan for Trumpy Trout is “Make Fishing Great Again.”

Plans for a Bidey Bass, which would “fall asleep and snore,” were also in the works prior to President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. However, the concept of Kamala Crab was abandoned due to legal issues.

A devoted Trump supporter from Palm Beach, Florida, Casey mentioned that his team found the product “really hilarious” and that it serves as a tribute to the former president.
