Tesla Cybertruck Explosion At Trump Hotel Sparks Terror Link To New Orleans Attack

The authorities are investigating if there was a terror link between the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump Las Vegas hotel and the car attack that claimed 15 lives in New Orleans. The driver died and seven bystanders sustained minor injuries following the explosion of the Cybertruck on January 1. The explosion occurred just hours before the attack by a suspected terrorist who drove a pickup truck emblazoned with an ISIS flag onto the Bourbon Street New Year’s Eve crowd, killing 15 people before police fatally shot him.

The investigators found that both vehicles were rented through the Turo app, a connection that law enforcement is investigating. Las Vegas Metropolitan Sheriff Kevin McMahill said, “That’s another coincidence that absolutely… we have to continue to look into,” while adding that no direct evidence currently links the Cybertruck explosion to ISIS.

President Joe Biden said that investigators are looking at whether there could be a connection between the events. McMahill stated, “We are totally investigating any connectivity to what happened in New Orleans as well as other attacks that have been happening around the world.

The Cybertruck was packed with fireworks-style mortars, and authorities are trying to determine if the detonation was intentional. Authorities are also exploring if the use of a Tesla vehicle and its location at the Trump hotel may be relevant, as Tesla CEO Elon Musk has close political ties to former President Donald Trump.

It is a Tesla truck, and we know that Elon Musk is working with President-elect Trump, and it’s the Trump Tower. So, there’s obviously things to be concerned about there,” McMahill added. Authorities continue to investigate, in this case emphasizing that they are not excluding any possibilities.
