The Kremlin has confirmed Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will conduct a telephone call on Tuesday. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported that preparations for the call were in progress.
Trump earlier revealed he would speak with Putin on attempts to end the current war in Ukraine, suggesting he would have important information to share after the call.
This will be the second official conversation between the two presidents since Trump took office again, after their first talk in February. The next call reflects on-going diplomatic activities to deal with the conflict in Ukraine, where Washington remains in pursuit of a ceasefire agreement.
The Kremlin did not provide more information regarding the agenda, but the call is supposed to be about possible solutions to the war that has entered its third year.
