A disturbing incident in Florida has led to the arrest of 22-year-old pizza delivery worker Brianna Alvelo, who allegedly stabbed a pregnant woman 14 times after a dispute over a tip. The incident unfolded a few days ago at a motel in Osceola County, where Alvelo had delivered a pizza order to a family celebrating a birthday.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the confrontation occurred when Alvelo, who had delivered the $33 pizza, received a $2 tip after the customer could not provide change for the $50 bill. After leaving the scene, Alvelo reportedly returned with an accomplice and carried out a brutal attack on the victim, who was in the motel room with her boyfriend and 5-year-old daughter.

A Violent Return: Forced Entry and Attack

The sheriff’s office detailed that Alvelo, armed with a knife, and her accomplice, who carried a firearm, returned to the motel room about 90 minutes after the original delivery. The attackers forced their way into the room, where Alvelo began stabbing the victim repeatedly. While attempting to shield her daughter, the victim was struck in the back, and her phone was smashed when she tried to call for help. The attack left the woman with 14 stab wounds.

Pregnancy Revealed During Medical Treatment

Following the attack, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was stabilised and later discovered that she was pregnant. Despite the trauma, the woman’s condition was reported as stable. Police continue to search for Alvelo’s accomplice, who remains at large.

Alvelo Arrested and Facing Serious Charges

Alvelo was arrested the following day, facing multiple charges including attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, assault, and kidnapping. She is currently being held at the Osceola County Jail without bond.

Marco’s Pizza Responds

The pizza chain where Alvelo was employed, Marco’s Pizza, expressed shock and regret over the incident. In a statement, the company assured that the local owner and team were fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities. “We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred. The safety and well-being of customers and team members are always our top priority,” Marco’s Pizza said.

The attack has left the community shaken, and authorities are urging anyone with information on Alvelo’s accomplice to come forward as the investigation continues.
