Since Elon Musk’s appointment as the head of President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), owners of Tesla vehicles in America have been at the receiving end of verbal attacks. Musk’s move to declare widespread federal job lay-offs as a step towards bringing down government spending has drawn millions of criticisms.Americans have now begun to show their discontentment towards Musk’s electric car company.
In San Francisco, a bunch of unknown people took the issue to the next level by posting flyers demanding action against Tesla owners. The flyers, posted on light poles and vehicles, carried a picture of Musk making a hand gesture that was similar to a “Nazi” statue. One flyer stated, “Sell your swasticar… Don’t be carplicit,” while another read, “Tell your neighbors: Sell your Tesla.”

The flyers quickly gained attention on social media, with reactions from Tesla owners and social media users. A San Francisco-based Tesla driver stated, “I agree, I don’t like Elon and I don’t like what he’s doing—it’s horrible. Personally, I don’t like Elon Musk, and that’s why everyone is boycotting Tesla.” Several users voiced the same sentiment, with a user on X stating, “To sell the car, someone has to buy it; so I don’t get this. Killing them is not the answer either—supply and demand would drive the cost of new ones up.”. Just don’t go out and buy new ones, that’s just the only reasonable thing to do.
In response, a Tesla owner said, “He (Elon Musk) already took the money from people like me who purchased a year ago. I’m not selling it at this point. I would never purchase one again though.” Another person said, “I adore my Tesla.”
All over America, “Anti-Elon Tesla Club” stickers have been seen on numerous vehicles. A business selling these stickers stated they had sold almost 50,000 worldwide in the last two years.
