Website Changes Spark Backlash

But on Friday, the term “LGBTQ” was changed to “LGB,” and all references to transgender and queer individuals were deleted.
Protesters Take to the Streets
Outraged by the change, hundreds of protesters marched in New York City. They carried signs that read, “Silence = Death” and “There’s No Stonewall Without the T.”
New York Governor Kathy Hochul condemned the move. She wrote on social media, “This is just cruel and petty. Transgender people play a critical role in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights – and New York will never allow their contributions to be erased.”
