New Owner Of Matthew Perry’s LA Home Honors His Legacy With Hindu Blessing Ceremony

Anita Lallian, a real estate developer and film producer with roots in India, recently purchased the Los Angeles home where late actor Matthew Perry, best known for his role in “Friends”, was found dead. Shortly after acquiring the property, Lallian held a Hindu blessing ceremony to honor Perry’s memory and cleanse the home’s energy, sharing her thoughts and experience on Instagram.

Excited to share the news of her new home, Lallian wrote, “The moment I walked into the home, I absolutely fell in love with the features, especially the view of the Pacific Ocean.” Along with her message, she posted images of a traditional Hindu blessing, performed by her family’s priest, or pandit, on the pool deck overlooking the ocean.

Lallian’s mother had moved to the US from India at age 22, and she shared that her Hindu faith includes blessing any new property to bring positive energy. “As a real estate developer, I believe every property has a unique history and carries the energy of its owners,” she said. “It’s customary in my culture to perform a prayer and blessing when acquiring a new home.”

While Lallian plans some design updates, she intends to retain certain elements, including Perry’s iconic Batman symbol in the pool, as a tribute to his joyful legacy. “We chose to honor the positive aspects of his life, his talent, and the happiness he brought to so many,” she added.

The property, situated in Pacific Palisades, boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 3,500 square feet. Perry had bought the home in 2020 for $6 million, and it sold to Lallian for $8.55 million, as reported by People. Lallian describes it as a “piece of paradise,” perfect for making cherished new memories.
