US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have always had friendly and courteous diplomatic ties. Three unique actions during their latest White House encounter on Friday, February 14, demonstrated their strong bond once again.
The first photo from their highly publicized meeting showed Modi and Trump embracing with a sincere hug. Their cordial embrace established the tone for their conversations and demonstrated their close, intimate bond.

Following the embrace, PM Modi enthusiastically greeted President Trump after a protracted absence. In response, Trump said kindly, “You were missed quite a lot.”
A Personalized Gift
At their combined press conference in the Oval Office, President Trump gave PM Modi his book, Our Journey Together.
The 320-page photo book, containing photographs of some of the major moments of Trump’s presidency, includes major India-US events like Howdy Modi and Namaste Trump, in which both leaders showed their appreciation for one another.
Trump himself signed the book, including a personal note reading, “Mr. Prime Minister, you are great.”
A Courteous Gesture
An online viral video clip from the meeting is one where President Trump is seen drawing out a chair for PM Modi so he could sit in comfort as he signed a message in a guestbook.
