Mark Zuckerberg Joins Trump’s Circle, Expresses Gratitude for Mar-a-Lago Dinner Invitation

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has recently confirmed his attendance at a dinner with President-elect Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate, solidifying his position among tech leaders supporting the incoming Trump administration. Following in the footsteps of Elon Musk’s growing alliance with Trump, Zuckerberg expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to meet with the president-elect and discuss future plans with his team.

A spokesperson for Meta stated, “It’s an important time for the future of American innovation. Mark was grateful for the invitation to join President Trump for dinner and the chance to engage with his team about the incoming administration.”

Zuckerberg’s shift in tone marks a notable change, as in previous years, Meta, under his leadership, had taken a firm stance against Trump, even suspending his Facebook and Instagram accounts. However, in July 2024, the suspension was lifted, allowing Trump to reconnect with his audience ahead of the election. Despite once aligning more with the Democratic side, Zuckerberg’s relationship with Trump has improved, with Trump even acknowledging that their interactions were “much better” as he believes Zuckerberg has distanced himself from the election.

Stephen Miller, Trump’s incoming White House deputy chief of staff, commented on Zuckerberg’s shift, noting that the Meta CEO recognizes Trump as a “change agent” and supports the reform movement he’s leading. This development comes as more tech executives, including Apple’s Tim Cook, Amazon’s Andy Jassy, and Google’s Sundar Pichai, appear to align themselves with Trump, possibly in anticipation of his second-term presidency.
