Vice President Kamala Harris will spend election night watching returns come in at Howard University in Washington, DC, after a day of rallying voters in key battleground states with radio interviews. Before the party, Harris will continue a family tradition by dining with her family. “I’ll be back at my old alma mater, Howard University,” she said in an interview by Pittsburgh-based radio program “The Big K Morning Show with Larry Richert” this morning.
Harris continued, “And before that, I have a tradition of having dinner with my family, and so we will do that. I have a lot of my family staying with us. And during the day, I’ll be, today all day talking with folks and reminding them to get out to vote.”
Her appeal was on the need to have people participate in elections, especially asking people to go out and vote during the Pittsburgh election. “I would urge everyone just to remember that in our democracy, the people get to decide, and your vote is your power,” she said, referring to the power of the people’s vote in making or breaking democracy.
As the Democratic candidate prepares for the election against Republican Donald Trump, Harris’s efforts to galvanize support are crucial. She combines family engagement and voter mobilization as election day approaches, reflecting her commitment to both personal and civic responsibilities.
