A JetBlue pilot was reportedly taken into custody at Logan Airport on Thursday, February 20, following serious allegations. Jeremy Gudorf, who was scheduled to fly from Boston to Paris, is wanted in North Carolina on a charge of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a prosecutor stated in court, as reported by CBS News.
According to State Police, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requested assistance from troopers at the airport around 8:40 p.m. on the night of Gudorf’s arrest. “In conducting their standard review of the manifest of a Boston-to-Paris flight, CBP identified an active North Carolina warrant lodged against a member of the flight crew who was detained,” State Police said in a statement.

Jeremy Gudorf, 33, is a resident of Ohio with ties to Massachusetts, according to his attorney at the arraignment in East Boston District Court. While the defense requested his release, the prosecution argued that he should be held without bail. Details regarding the allegations against Gudorf in North Carolina remain limited.
“These are serious charges. The news is here. He’s not just going to be able to run away from this,” Gudorf’s lawyer stated. Meanwhile, the prosecutor argued, “He is a commercial pilot, the warrant is obviously out of North Carolina and he resides in the state of Ohio so for those reasons we ask that he be held without bail and surrender his passport.”
The judge ultimately allowed Gudorf to retain his passport and set bail at $10,000, with the condition that he must report to North Carolina by February 25. Gudorf has been charged in Massachusetts with one count of being a fugitive from justice without a warrant. If North Carolina waives the warrant, he will not need to return to Massachusetts for a status hearing on the fugitive charge. However, if the warrant remains in place, he will be required to return to Boston on March 19.
