Israel Sends 1,000 Units Of Blood To Gaza Amid Ongoing Crisis

The Israeli Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) announced that it facilitated the delivery of 1,000 units of blood to Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza. This initiative, carried out in coordination with an international organization, aims to support critical medical operations.

Expanding Aid Efforts

COGAT spokesperson Shimon Freedman emphasized Israel’s commitment to humanitarian aid:
“The IDF, through COGAT, is expanding our capacity to facilitate aid across Gaza. This includes the recent establishment of the Kissufim crossing, designed to streamline the delivery of essential supplies,” he stated.

New Kissufim Crossing Operational

The Kissufim crossing, opened on November 12, marks a significant step in boosting aid to Gaza. The crossing facilitates the entry of food, water, medical supplies, and shelter equipment, with plans to increase convoy sizes in the coming days.

Commitment to Humanitarian Support

COGAT highlighted its ongoing efforts in a recent post on X:
“Over the last few months, more than 6,000 units of blood have been facilitated into Gaza. Our war is with Hamas, not the people of Gaza.”

International Pressure and Response

The move aligns with international calls for increased aid. The U.S. recently urged Israel to enhance humanitarian support to Gaza, emphasizing the need for multiple aid routes.
