Andy Byron, Astronomer’s CEO, was in controversy after his kiss cam moment at Coldplay’s Wednesday show found him hugging the company’s HR chief, Kristin Cabot, leaving him at the center of affair and cheating speculation. Frontman Chris Martin drew a couple’s attention in the audience during the show, which came with speculation on the possibility of a workplace cheating scandal.

Byron, married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, has been CEO of Astronomer since July 2023.
Byron’s current net worth is not available. In May 2025, however, Astronomer reported taking new funding of $93 million.

Coldplay’s kiss cam at Gillette Stadium, Boston, caught Byron and Kristin Cabot in an intimate hug. Chris Martin joked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” which made everyone laugh as Byron ducked behind a barrier and Cabot covered her face.
Personal Lives Under Scrutiny
Byron, 50, is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, who teaches at Bancroft School, with two children. Megan, according to rumor, removed “Byron” from her Facebook page and separated it. Cabot is wedded to Kenneth C. Thornby.
Astronomer, which has its headquarters in New York, is not commenting on alleged policy infractions. Byron and Cabot are also still to make statements.
