External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar Heads to the US for Key Discussions on India-US Relations

 External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to visit the United States from December 24 to 29, marking the first high-level official visit following Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential elections. The visit aims to bolster India-US relations and address a range of critical issues.

During his stay, Jaishankar will engage with his counterparts to discuss key bilateral, regional, and global matters. The discussions are anticipated to focus on enhancing cooperation between India and the US, tackling global challenges, and exploring new avenues for collaboration across various sectors.

In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) noted, “He will be meeting counterparts to discuss key bilateral, regional, and global issues.”

Additionally, as part of his itinerary, Jaishankar will chair a conference of India’s Consul Generals in the United States, further emphasizing the importance of diplomatic engagement during this visit.
