Elon Musk’s pro-Trump super PAC, America PAC, has named its final winner of a $1 million prize, awarded to a registered voter in Michigan. This announcement came on Tuesday afternoon, following a Pennsylvania judge’s decision not to shut down the sweepstakes, which had faced both federal and state-level scrutiny.
The Philadelphia district attorney had previously filed a civil lawsuit aimed at halting the program, claiming it violated state gaming laws. In a post on X, the super PAC expressed gratitude to participants, stating, “Thank you all who signed in Support of the Rights to Free Speech and Bear Arms,” referring to the petition that allowed registered voters to enter the sweepstakes.
Throughout the program, America PAC distributed a total of $18 million to 18 registered voters across battleground states, despite the ongoing lawsuit and a warning from the Justice Department regarding potential violations of federal vote-buying laws.
