Donald Trump Plans to Sign Over 200 Executive Orders on Day One, Prioritizing Border Security and Energy

President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to sign over 200 executive orders on his first day in office, focusing on border security, energy policy, reducing living costs for American families, and ending diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs across the federal government.

A senior administration official, authorized to brief Fox News Digital, stated that Trump would sign several “omnibus” executive orders, each comprising dozens of significant actions. “The president is issuing a historic series of executive orders and actions that will fundamentally reform the American government, including the complete and total restoration of American sovereignty,” the official said, as quoted by Fox News Digital.

Among Trump’s first-day actions will be declaring a national border emergency and directing the US military and Department of Homeland Security to secure the southern border. Dismantling criminal cartels operating in the US will also be designated a national priority.

According to Fox News Digital, Trump will issue a proclamation to close the border to all illegal aliens and establish task forces with officers from the FBI, ICE, CEA, and other agencies to combat criminal cartels. Additionally, he will designate these cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, unlocking new authorities to enhance homeland security operations.

Trump plans to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” and “Catch and Release” policies, direct the military to continue building the border wall, and grant emergency powers to expedite the return of illegal aliens to their countries of origin.

On energy policy, Trump will “fully unleash” Alaskan energy, emphasizing its critical importance to US national security.

Another major action on Trump’s first day will involve suspending the security clearances of 51 national security officials tied to the Hunter Biden laptop issue.

Further plans include establishing a clear biological sex definition, renaming historical locations such as the “Gulf of America,” and terminating all DEI programs within the federal government, the report added.
