A collection of newly released documents from the Department of Justice’s investigation into former FBI Director James Comey’s management of Hilary Clinton’s email scandal appears to have cornered Comey.
Tulsi Gabbard’s Accusations and Grassley’s Document Release
In the wake of Tulsi Gabbard’s claims that the Obama administration fabricated the ‘hoax’ surrounding Donald Trump’s Russia connection, these new documents, released by Senator Chuck Grassley, claim that Comey chose not to investigate Hillary Clinton’s email servers on purpose.
Senator Grassley’s office made an announcement indicating the DOJ Inspector General’s Clinton annex reveals the FBI collected thumb drives under investigation of Clinton but did not do any additional focused searches on them.
Allegations Against Top FBI Officials
It accuses former FBI Director Comey, Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Agent Peter Strzok, and others for not reviewing their contents.
The Hillary Clinton email scandal, part of the prominent Republican agenda of the 2016 US election, is the use of a private server for official communications by Clinton while serving as the US Secretary of State under Obama between 2009 and 2013. The Clinton email scandal led to an FBI investigation for allegations of potentially classified documents being compromised.
The FBI, under James Comey, probed the incident and concluded in 2016 that Hillary Clinton was “extremely careless” with her handling of the email server. Of the 30,000 work‐related emails handed over to the State Department for the probe, 110 emails (across 52 chains) were found to have contained classified information.
Trump Responds with AI Video Following Gabbard’s Remarks
Following National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard’s claims that the Obama administration fabricated the “hoax” of Russia interference in the 2016 US elections, President Trump uploaded an AI-created video of Obama’s arrest on his social media account.
Obama is handcuffed by FBI agents in the Oval Office, with Trump observing and smiling in the first scene, and Obama later wearing an orange jumpsuit in a jail cell in the second scene.
