Barack Obama Endorses Kamala Harris For President Says “Champion For Those In Need”

At a campaign event in Las Vegas, former US President Barack Obama officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidency, praising her readiness and commitment to American values. Obama lauded Harris as a “champion for those in need,” emphasizing her qualifications and lifelong dedication to fighting for justice.

Speaking to a large crowd, Obama declared, “America is ready to turn the page. We are ready for President Kamala Harris. She is as prepared for the job as any nominee in history.” He further expressed confidence in Harris’ leadership, adding that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz would be an “outstanding partner” as vice president.

Encouraging early voting, Obama urged Americans to choose a new generation of leadership that would build a better, fairer, and more equal country. He acknowledged the challenges the nation has faced in recent years, including the pandemic and rising prices, which have strained families and businesses. Despite these difficulties, Obama stressed the importance of moving forward with Harris at the helm.

Turning to Harris’ opponent, Republican candidate Donald Trump, Obama delivered sharp criticism. He questioned why anyone would believe Trump could “shake things up” in a positive way, citing Trump’s history of self-interest. “There is absolutely no evidence that this man thinks about anybody but himself,” Obama remarked.

He continued his critique of Trump, labeling him as a constant complainer who is more focused on personal gain than on the well-being of Americans. Obama also mocked Trump for selling “Trump Bibles” made in China, calling out the hypocrisy in his tough-on-China stance.

Obama argued that Trump’s strategy relies on fostering division among Americans, pitting “real Americans” who support him against those who don’t. “Donald Trump wants you to think this country is hopelessly divided because it boosts his chances of being elected,” Obama warned.

Vice President Kamala Harris, if elected, would make history as the first woman, first Black, and first Asian American president. She faces former President Donald Trump, who is seeking a rare return to the White House after his defeat in 2020. The US presidential election is set for November 5.
