Anthony Pratt, an Australian businessman and executive chairman of Pratt Industries, has emerged as one of the top five donors to President-elect Donald Trump, contributing over $15 million to his campaign.
This substantial donation places Pratt alongside high-profile supporters such as Linda McMahon, Timothy Mellon, Elon Musk, and Miriam Adelson. Pratt, who heads a company specializing in recycled paper and packaging, was previously accused of sharing U.S. nuclear secrets with multiple individuals after receiving them from Trump, according to *Fortune*.
Following Trump’s significant electoral victory, Pratt announced that he would be relocating to the U.S., where he has longstanding business ties and a personal connection to Trump.
“Honoured to be granted my Green Card for permanent USA residency last month,” Pratt shared on LinkedIn. “We decided it was time to live in America because: My family are all U.S. citizens, and over the past 30 years, we have invested to build 70 factories in America, creating 12,000 well-paying American manufacturing jobs.”
Pratt’s $14 million contribution will primarily benefit the super PAC *Make America Great Again, Inc.*, while the remaining $1.1 million will go toward Trump’s inaugural fund.
“I’ve been proud to support him not only by making this donation, but also by investing billions in well-paying American manufacturing jobs during his first presidency,” Pratt stated. “I will do so again in his upcoming presidency. He was a great president and will once again be a great president.”
Commenting on his decision to move to the U.S., Pratt explained, “We decided it was time to live in America because my family are all U.S. citizens and I wanted to devote more time to growing my U.S. business.”
