Amazon Drone Service Hits Roadblock After Two Crashes, Suspends Deliveries

Two MK30 drone crashes during tests in Pendleton, Oregon in December have caused Amazon to temporarily stop its drone delivery service in Arizona and Texas. Though the events have become concerned about the dependency of the MK30—that was showing promise—more recent and fewer strong than its predecessor MK27.

The accidents were attributed to a software bug uncovered during testing in light rain. Although Amazon acknowledged this as a factor, it emphasized the optional character of the delivery halt.
