Israel Strikes Key Syrian Military Sites In Damascus After Assad’s Fall

An intelligence source who asked to remain anonymous associated the airstrikes in Barzeh, a suburb of the Syrian capital, with the internal Israeli efforts aimed at the destruction of Syria’s military potential. The order was given at approximately 6:00 AM. Many residents report hearing explosions and Israeli aircrafts, but rather the former than the latter. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern over Israel’s actions, highlighting “extensive violations” of Syrian sovereignty and the ongoing airstrikes, according to his spokesman.
