Indian Student Dies, 4 Injured in Tragic Car Crash in Leicestershire, UK

Chiranjeevi Panguluri, a 32-year-old Indian student, tragically lost his life in a road accident in Leicestershire, eastern England. The crash occurred on Tuesday morning when the car Panguluri was traveling in veered off the road and ended up in a ditch.

Leicestershire Police confirmed that Panguluri was pronounced dead at the scene, while three other passengers, including a woman and two men, as well as the driver, were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. The two male passengers are reported to be in stable condition, and their injuries are not life-threatening.

According to the police, Panguluri was a passenger in a grey Mazda 3 Tamura traveling from Leicester towards Market Harborough when the vehicle left the road. “Chiranjeevi Panguluri, 32, was the passenger in the vehicle when it left the road and came to rest in a ditch,” a police statement noted.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident on the A6 highway on Tuesday morning or captured footage on dash cams to come forward. A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has been released on bail. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are appealing for additional evidence.

All those involved in the crash are reportedly from Andhra Pradesh. The incident has shocked the Indian community in the UK, and local authorities are offering support to the families affected.
