Hezbollah Violates Ceasefire: Israel Pledges Harsh Response

Israeli leaders have reacted strongly to Hezbollah’s missile attack on Mount Dov, describing it as a serious breach of the ceasefire agreement. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack and assured a firm response.

Netanyahu’s Warning

Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized that Hezbollah’s actions were a direct violation of the ceasefire. He stated, “Hezbollah’s firing at Mount Dov constitutes a serious violation of the cease-fire, and Israel will respond strongly to this. We are determined to continue to enforce the ceasefire, and to respond to any violation by Hezbollah – minor or serious.”

Defense Minister Pledges Firm Action

Israel’s Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, also underscored the gravity of the situation. He pledged a harsh response to Hezbollah’s provocation, saying, “We promised to act against any violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah – and that is exactly what we will do. Hezbollah’s firing at the IDF post in Mount Dov will be met with a harsh response. What was will not be.”

Pentagon Comments on Ceasefire

The Pentagon also weighed in, affirming that the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah remains intact despite recent incidents. A Pentagon spokesperson said, “The cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah is being held despite several incidents.”

Details of the Attack

On Monday, Hezbollah launched two missiles toward Mount Dov. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the missiles landed in open areas, causing no casualties or damage.

This missile barrage marked the first attack since the ceasefire came into effect. Israel has reiterated its commitment to enforcing the agreement while warning of decisive actions against any future violations.
