Elon Musk Considers 100 Dollar Million Donation To UK Party, Calls For ‘Britain’s Reform’

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has disclosed that he is in talks with tech billionaire Elon Musk regarding a potential contribution to the party, which could become the “largest single party donation in British history” if confirmed.

The meeting, as per reports following a one-hour discussion at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, was described as “historic” and “great” by Farage; while on The Telegraph, he clarified that there were indeed ongoing negotiations when discussing financial backing.

Joined by party treasurer Nick Candy, Farage also sought strategic insights from Musk, including takeaways from Trump’s political strategies. Emphasizing the necessity for assertive action, Farage remarked, “We can do great things together to save the West. ”

Reports suggest that Musk might contribute as much as $100 million (£79 million) to Reform UK. Although Farage mentioned that finances were included in the discussions, he noted that Musk was keen on the party and his criticisms of Labour and the Conservatives, which he referred to as a “uniparty. ”

Farage shared a photo with Musk on X, captioned: “Britain needs Reform. ” Musk replied: “Absolutely. ”

A Historic Contribution

Should the donation go through, a £78 million contribution would set a new record—a £10 million donation from Lord Sainsbury to the Conservative Party in 2023. Such an action would significantly impact Labour and the Conservatives, who are vying with Reform UK in the upcoming local elections.

Legal Considerations

While UK regulations bar foreigners, including US citizen Musk, from directly donating to UK political parties, he could make contributions through X’s British branch, as reported by The Telegraph.

Farage met with Vice President-elect JD Vance during his visit and described the encounter as “great. ” Previously, Farage had suggested that his American connections, including ties to Trump, might serve as an advantage for UK-US relations under a Republican-led administration.
