Brazilian President Lula Health: Second Brain Procedure Successful Recovery Reported Positive

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva successfully underwent a second medical procedure on Thursday morning, following emergency brain surgery earlier this week. His doctor, Roberto Kalil Filho, confirmed the operation went well.

“The president is awake and speaking,” Kalil Filho told reporters, adding that the procedure lasted approximately an hour.

Lula had initially undergone surgery on Tuesday at Sao Paulo’s Sirio-Libanes Hospital. The operation, which took about two hours, involved draining bleeding between his brain and the meningeal membrane. Doctors linked the condition to a fall he suffered at his home in late October.

The latest procedure was a follow-up to ensure optimal recovery. Medical experts noted that Lula is responding positively, easing concerns about his health.

This development comes amid public and political attention, as Lula remains a pivotal figure in Brazilian and global politics.
