Baloch Rights Group Slams Pakistani Forces for Abductions

Paank, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement, has condemned the abduction of two young individuals by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan’s Kech district. The victims, Pazeer, son of Fateh Muhammad, and Shoaib, son of Mullah Salam, were forcibly disappeared in separate incidents.

Abductions in Kech

Firstly, Pazeer was abducted from the Niwanu Zamuran area in Buleda tehsil, while Shoaib was taken from the Gilee area. Paank shared this information on X, saying, “Enforced disappearances in Balochistan continue with impunity. On Dec 1, 2024, Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared Pazeer s/o Fateh Muhammad (Niwan Zamuran, Kech) and Shoaib s/o Mullah Salam (Gilee, Kech). We urge Pakistan to ensure their safe return.”

Extrajudicial Killings Condemned

In addition, Paank condemned the extrajudicial killings of Faqeer Jan and Asa Baloch in the Awaran area. Faqeer Jan was abducted on September 26, 2024, and Asa Baloch on February 17, 2023. Tragically, both individuals were found dead on November 30, 2024, in a staged encounter in Buzdad Burbodonk.

Violations of Human Rights

These actions are severe violations of human rights and international law. Consequently, Paank has called for an immediate and transparent investigation by the Pakistani government. Furthermore, they have urged the international community to condemn these human rights abuses.

Fear Among Baloch People

The increasing number of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings has instilled fear among the Baloch population. As a result, Paank expressed solidarity with the victims’ families and urged authorities to address their demands.
