The Director General of Prison Sandeep Goel has been transferred out in an order from Lieutenant Governor V.K Saxena. The move comes after the ED had submitted an affidavit claiming that Satyendra Jain has been getting special treatment flouting the jail norms in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Goel is replaced by Sanjay Beniwal, IPS officer of 1989 batch.
Union Home Minister has also sought the report on the allegations of jail officials colluding with Satyendra Jain.
