The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared the Muslim Conference Jammu & Kashmir (Sumji faction) and Muslim Conference Jammu & Kashmir (Bhat faction) as Unlawful Associations, just days after the extension of the ban on Jamaat e Islami in the region.

Union Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the media on X, affirmed the government’s relentless efforts in combating terror networks, emphasizing the necessity of this action. “Striking terror networks with undiminished vehemence, the government has declared the Muslim Conference Jammu & Kashmir (Sumji faction) and Muslim Conference Jammu & Kashmir (Bhat faction) as Unlawful Associations,” stated Minister Shah.

Highlighting the threat posed by these outfits to the sovereignty and integrity of the nation, Shah reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to rooting out terrorism. “PM Narendra Modi Ji’s government is determined to uproot terrorism, and anyone involved in unlawful activities will face dire consequences,” he asserted.

This significant decision follows the recent extension of the ban on Jamaat e Islami, underscoring the government’s proactive stance in tackling extremist elements in the region.
