In Amritsar, a woman Additional Judge, who was walking in the Ranjeet Avenue, was suddenly attacked by an unknown person. When the woman judge confronted the assailant, he immediately fled the scene. In connection with this incident, the Ranjeet Avenue police have registered a case against the unknown assailant and initiated a thorough investigation into the seriousness of the matter. The police are showing special attention to this case and closely examining CCTV footage from the area. Medical examination of the woman judge has also been conducted.
According to information, the woman judge informed the police that she was taking a walk in the park of Ranjeet Avenue around 5 AM. During this time, an unknown person came from behind and attacked her, attempting to strangle her. Despite the assault, the woman Judge bravely confronted the assailant, creating a commotion. The assailant took advantage of the dense fog and immediately fled the scene. In the complaint filed by the woman judge, she mentioned that due to the thick fog early in the morning, she couldn’t properly identify the assailant’s face, and by the time she regained composure, the assailant had escaped. The police are diligently investigating the case of an attack on a judge, and senior officers are also involved in the investigation.
Inspector Robin Hans, in charge of the Ranjeet Avenue police station, mentioned that the police are also trying to determine whether the alleged attacker is somehow connected to any of the judge’s cases or if the attack was carried out for some other motive.
The Ranjeet Avenue area is not mentioning the incidents of looting and robbery, apart from that, the area of Ranjeet Avenue ranks first in the district in cases of vehicle theft. Some people even say that the police hesitate to register most cases and simply take a complaint letter from the owner of the stolen vehicle to fulfill their duty. The areas of Ranjeet Avenue have become a soft target for robbers, and despite the police being familiar with all these cases, they are not increasing their vigilance in these parks. This boosts the morale of the criminals, and the elements involved in these incidents manage to escape from these parks after committing the crimes.
