On Tuesday, a delegation led by the President of the UN General Assembly, Dennis Francis, had a meeting with Governor Shri Kalraj Mishra at Raj Bhavan. The delegation, which included India’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, received a warm welcome from Governor Shri Mishra. Upon their arrival at Raj Bhavan, Governor Shri Mishra greeted and honoured Shri Dennis Francis with a flower bunch, showcasing the cultural tradition of ‘Padharo Mhare Desh.’ Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant were also present during the meeting.
Addressing the gathering at Raj Bhavan, Francis praised India’s unique culture, emphasizing its leadership globally in terms of human values. He expressed admiration for India’s democratic values and the culture of association, highlighting their uniqueness on the world stage.
