Clearing up fan speculation, Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar confirmed that the film is not based on the life of late Indian Army officer Major Mohit Sharma, who was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra.
However, Aditya Dhar added that if he ever develops a biopic on Major Sharma, he would ensure it is made only with the full consent and consultation of his family.
