In the Jahangirpuri terror case, a deceased friend has identified the two suspects and said that he knew the victim Rajkumar, for 7-8 months.

A friend of the deceased victim saw the alleged terrorists Naushad and Jagjit meeting victim Rajkumar.

Meanwhile, in the Jahangirpuri case, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has made the victim’s friend the prime witness.

“I knew him for seven to eight months since we worked together. I informed the police about everything,” Rajkumar’s friend said.

“The police informed me about the murder. Later when I told them about two men visiting Rajkumar, they called me to identify them. I identified the two men who were seen with Rajkumar that day,” the victim’s friend said.

“When I saw Rajkumar with them for the first time, I asked him about them. But he just said they are friends and nothing else. Because both the two suspects told Rajkumar to not reveal any information about them,” the victim’s friend added.

Earlier on Thursday, Naushad Ali and his associate Jagjit Singh, alias Jagga, were arrested in the national capital.

Meanwhile, both the terrorist and his handler were in touch with the Harkat-ul Ansar outfit and the Hizbul Mujahideen, and from Pakistani handlers Asfaq and Suhail, he was receiving instructions.

“It was Arif who got Naushad to meet Suhail, another Pakistani terrorist. Suhail is also a member of the terrorist organization LeT, which is currently operating from Pakistan,” sources said.

“Suhail had prepared a plan to target some big leaders in Punjab,” sources stated.

During the probe, Naushad revealed he had met Nadeem, who is associated with the terrorist organization Harkat-ul-Ansar.

“After coming out of jail on parole, Nadeem had inducted Naushad into the Harkat-ul-Ansar organization to work together for Jihad,” sources stated.

Earlier in 2018, Naushad was released from jail after being imprisoned for murder for 25 years.

However, ahead of Republic Day celebrations, security has been heightened for the event in the national capital.
