The national flag was hoisted at the Badrinath Dham Temple on Tuesday to commemorate the country’s 77th Independence Day, amid patriotic fervor and nationalistic zeal.

Priests, temple officials, and pilgrims from all over the world celebrated Independence Day with nationalist fire and enthusiasm at the holy site in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district.

To honor the occasion, Dehradun Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the national flag and gave the oath of national unity to the people.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), CM Dhami also paid tribute to freedom warriors who had made ultimate sacrifices for the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort and delivered his 10th Independence Day speech in the national capital.

Around 1,800 people from various walks of life and from all over the country were invited to the major celebratory event in the national capital as distinguished guests.

This year’s Independence Day will conclude the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, which the Prime Minister launched from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on March 12, 2021, and will usher the country into ‘Amrit Kaal’ with renewed vigour to realize PM Modi’s dream of making India a developed country by 2047.
