Kangana Ranaut’s Twitter account was permanently suspended on Tuesday after her post on alleged post-poll violence in West Bengal. The actress had posted some tweets on the alleged violence that took place in West Bengal after the election results were declared on 2 May.

A spokesperson of twitter said that Kangana Ranaut’s account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically the Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy.

This is not the first time that she has been reprimanded by the social media platform. Earlier certain restrictions were implemented on her account after the actress had posted a tweet against the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Tandav’, in which she said it was ‘time to take (the makers’) heads off’ for hurting religious sentiments. The micro-blogging site had removed myriad tweets made from her account for violating the platform’s policies.

Moreover, the tweets she made in connection with the ongoing farmers’ protests were also deleted by Twitter in February. Kangana termed the suspension of her Twitter account as the act of infringing freedom of speech.
