Suhani Bhatnagar, known for her role as child Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s film “Dangal,” passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 19. The cause of her death is currently unknown. Suhani resided in sector 17, Faridabad, and her cremation is scheduled to take place at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad.

Suhani was active on Instagram, where she used to share pictures of herself. However, her last post dates back to November 2021, featuring sun-kissed selfies with the caption, “November??”

During the promotional period of “Dangal,” Suhani frequently shared pictures on her Instagram account. One such image shows her with director Nitesh Tiwari and actors Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, where she captioned it, “Geeta babita Jr.babita and the director.” Another post captured an in-flight moment with Aamir Khan and Shankar Mahadevan, joined by the cast and director of the film.

In a throwback picture, Aamir Khan shared the stage with Suhani and Zaira Wasim (who played child Geeta Phogat) during the film’s promotions, with Suhani and Zaira displaying cheerful smiles for the camera.

After “Dangal,” Suhani took a hiatus from acting to focus on her studies. The 2016 biographical sports drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, revolves around Mahavir Singh Phogat, an amateur wrestler who trains his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari to become India’s first world-class female wrestlers. Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra portrayed the adult versions of the Phogat sisters, while Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar played their younger counterparts.
