Artist Bhaskar Singha opened his solo art show “Realms of Peace – V” on August 6, 2025, at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The exhibition was curated by Sujata Soni Bali and started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Sushma Bahl, Tina Vachani, and Ashok Bhowmick.
This new collection of paintings invites people to think about values like peace, love, and unity. It is inspired by the old Indian idea of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which means “The world is one family.” The show sends a message that we are all connected, no matter our religion, identity, or culture.
“Painting is a spiritual experience for me,” said Bhaskar Singha. “It brings me peace and happiness. Just like the wind changes direction, our feelings and lives also keep changing. I try to show that movement and energy through my art.”
Singha’s paintings are known for their soft colours, hidden meanings, and calm feeling. Each painting is like a quiet space for thinking and inner peace.
With almost 30 years of experience, Bhaskar Singha has created a special style of art that mixes traditional Indian thought with modern-day topics. He started with watercolour paintings, which were gentle and full of light, and later moved to acrylic on canvas, keeping the peaceful mood in his work. He often paints about social issues like child labour, and also makes artworks in honour of great figures like Tagore, Vivekananda, and Satyajit Ray.
The opening was attended by many art lovers including Manoj Arora, Divyman Singh, Poonam Bhatnagar, Dharmendra Rathore, and senior artist Niren Sengupta, who all appreciated the calm and deep messages in Singha’s work.
The exhibition will be open through the week at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, and gives viewers a beautiful and thoughtful experience.
