Variety has confirmed that the comedy-drama series ‘The Flight Attendant’ will not be returning for a third season. Starring Kaley Cuoco, the show originally premiered on Max in 2020, followed by the second season in 2022.

Kaley Cuoco expressed her gratitude for the experience, stating, “What started out as an attention-grabbing book cover quickly evolved into an extraordinary flight of a lifetime. I always envisioned TFA as a limited series, and thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons. Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true, and I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life,” according to a report by Variety.

Adapted from the Chris Bohjalian novel of the same name, the show received critical acclaim, earning Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for Cuoco and the series during its first season. Cuoco also received an Emmy nomination for her performance in the second season.

Cuoco portrayed the lead character, Cassie Bowden, whose journey unfolds as she wakes up next to a deceased passenger on an international flight, becoming entangled in the mystery surrounding his death while battling her own struggles with alcoholism in Season 1. In Season 2, Cassie takes on the role of a CIA asset, getting involved in another perilous mystery that jeopardizes her life and the lives of her friends.

The ensemble cast included Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, and Deniz Akdeniz, with T.R. Knight, Yasha Jackson, and Audrey Grace Marshall appearing in both seasons.
