On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, the police in the state capital Bhopal are on high alert and monitoring sensitive areas with the help of drone cameras, according to a police official on Thursday.

Around 1,000 police officers were deployed in the city for Hanuman Jayanti celebrations. In addition to the Reserve Force, the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Fixed Pickets (barricades with police personnel) were arranged for the processions in Bhopal’s Old City area.

Awadhesh Goswami, Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), told the reporters, “Today, around 15 to 20 processions, including grand processions, will be taken out in the city on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, in which there will be a large number of devotees, and Bhandaras at many temples will also be organized.” On this occasion, there are also bhajan kirtan programs in the city.”

“In view of the security arrangements, police have been deployed everywhere. The routes for the procession have been decided. The administration has seen the routes after having meetings with the organisers. The routes are being monitored with drone cameras. All arrangements have been made regarding the traffic as well,” he added.

Adequate police force has also been provided by the police headquarters, and special police arrangements have been made for all Hanuman Jayanti processions, bhandara, kirtans, and other programs. ACP Goswami stated that 1000 police officers have been deployed for the procession and other programs.
